MLK week stories from previous years
The Virginia Commonwealth University community celebrated the life and work of Martin Luther King Jr. at a series of events honoring the iconic civil rights leader.
A candlelight vigil, a community service event at Evergreen Cemetery, creative performances that highlighted King’s legacy, and keynote remarks from local civic leaders commemorated King’s leadership, spirit of service and dedication to nonviolence and justice: 2019 MLK Celebration Week in Photographs.
